  <title><![CDATA[Marketing deals: Acquirers get hungry again as Aegis leads the way]]></title>
  <description><![CDATA[Since the beginning of the year my partners Tony and Andrew, as well as myself, have been commenting on a busy M&amp;A market. However, more recently the activity seems to have jumped up yet another level, with no less than 13 major deals appearing on the Green Square &ldquo;Deal Monitor&rdquo; in just six weeks.<br />
<br />
It seems that with &ndash; for many &ndash; the start of a new financial year (1 April), acquirers have gotten hungry all over again. <br />

As you might expect for an exclusive holiday destination, it has a thriving tourist industry.  But did you know that the island &ndash; which has an area of just 787 square miles and a population of less than 1.3 million &ndash; is in fact in the process of becoming a regional powerhouse in the financial and communications industries?  For the past five consecutive years, the World Bank has declared it to be the best place to do business in Africa (and the 19th best in the world). One example of this was newspaper and magazine distributor John Menzies&rsquo; buyout of Orbital Marketing Services &ndash; something we wrote about in The Drum late last year.<br />
